Penrose

The good folk of Penrose north of Wingello are welcoming the Kangaroo March for morning tea and lunch. They have planned a special tree-planting as well as a musical interlude as a tribute to the four Rush brothers who all went off to World War I, but only 2 returned.  How often do we read these words?

The Penrose Community Association expects us at 10:30 for morning tea.  Here we will remember the Rush brothers who served their country 100 years ago, only two of whom returned, and remember those who stayed behind and kept the home fires burning.

Later the Penrose Hall will be the venue for a proposed Ploughman’s Lunch. We’ll be well set up for the march on to Bundanoon…..

DAY #26 Wednes Sept 30: Depart Penrose after lunch (~13:30)  on to Old Wingello Rd, Ellsmore, Erith, Anzac Parade, Railway Ave – due into the school at Bundanoon by ~16:00.

Enlist now to march in the Kangaroo March Re-enactment.
