Marulan

Arriving Day # 24, Monday Sept 28 from Goulburn, we will overnight in Marulan.  At 5pm we’ll hold our daily Commemorative Ceremony at the Cenotaph.  Then a short walk to the Hall for dinner at 6pm.

The next morning we set out for Tallong, our last stop in the Goulburn – Mulwaree LGA, for lunch.  Then we head into the Southern Highlands.

Original March: What happened

About sixty Kangaroos (those not still on leave) left Goulburn on 27 December 1915, accompanied for a short way by the Goulburn recruits. After a march up the formidable Governor’s Hill in an impressive time of eighty minutes, they lunched at Shelley’s Flat.

Then they marched to the Marulan showground where they were joined by the Kangaroos who had been on leave.

Enlist now to march in the Kangaroo March Re-enactment.
